This morning I noticed a small growth on my bumblebee platy right behind its fin....he seems to be acting fine....wondering what the heck it is??????

then im not sure how i or anyone else will be able to help, as that growth could be anything.
try catching the guy in a net then taking a pic.
or just be really really patient with your camera ready to go as soon as he stops moving.
or do it at night when they are asleep using a flash light, with the flash off on the camera.
you have alot of options here.
