HELP I need a new lighting system for my betta's tank.

Okay, I deed a lamp that can clip to the edge of a table and will be bright enough to light up a 5 gallon tank. The tank has a one piece hood with a strip of LED lights but I do not have a power adapter to plug them in. I may still be able to find one that will work somewhere but for now I need to put a lamp for something in place so my poor fishy doesn't have to sit in the dark all the time. Can anyone suggest a lamp I should use? I've looked at several but I'm just not sure what to look for.

Okay, here is a picture of the tank. Sadly this so about as much light as my Betta boy gets. This is why I need some suggestions.
