Help me identify this fish please =)

I bought this fish the other day and have forgotten what it is called.. I think it's common name starts with banded.. PLEASE HELP =D

Yeah it has filled out my tank alot and a good focus point fish. Ermm £26! I must admit it was an impulse buy haha!

Nah it's not a snake head for sure.. Otherwise my other fish would be dead by now >.<

DEFINITELY a gorgeous specimen of Polypterus delhezi. I don't know what other kinds of fish you have in your aquarium but keep in mind that bichirs like that one are carnivorous and will happily eat anything they can swallow. Oh...your new acquisition can eventually reach nearly sixteen inches in length.
