Hi I just got a common Pleco, or so I believe it is it changes colors from white with spots to gray with black stripes, and I was wondering how big it would get in a ten gal tank. It's only 5cm long. Also, I know that ther are two different types of plecos based on shape, one that is long and one that is short with a big head. I want to get the one with the big head but I don't know wat species have that trait.

So if someone can clear this up for me I would love to know fast

There are dozens of varieties of plecos. Common pleco's can grow to 20" or more. They need to 100+ gal tank to be properly housed. They are not appropriate for a 10 gal tank.

Ya but it's a baby and only 6 1/2 inch long. I'm goin to a 30 gal in a couple years anyway and I want to know how long

A 30 is inappropriate for a common as well. They are dirty, fast growing fish.
