How to improve color of pearl gourami?

I have a pearl that's about 2 inches long and I've had it for 3 months, it's really active and definitely not shy but it's always somewhat pale. Is there anything I can do to help it color up a little more?

Get some tetra color tropical flakes

You may just have a female pearl- they are not as colorful as the males.

They color up a lot as they age.

I probably have a young female lol. I had an older female that sadly passed away who was really pretty.
