I need help

Just got a dual bio sponge filter and need to know the best way to install it. Do I need to soak the sponge and how far from the top/bottom should I place it.

I always just toss them in.. if wr are talking the same tyoe of filter, do you have a picture of it handy?

Lol I already put it in. I placed it in the tank and let it sit and soak for like 10 mins then plugged in the pump. Wish I got a bigger pump but it seems to be doing good
