My tank light has 2 modes, freshwater and marine. When I turn off the light it goes to marine lighting and then turns off. I was just wondering if marine lighting affects freshwater? My tank is the new Aqua One Focus Aquarium 36 litres, if that helps to know what light I'm talking about.

Marine lighting wont harm your tank but wont do anything (or not very much) for plant growth. Do you have plants? How long does it stay on the marine setting before finally turning off?

Yes I have plants, but the marine light is on for only a second. Thank you for your reply
