I have one of the Coralife timer power strips that has worked faithfully for about a year now. I recently turned my 20 long into a saltwater reef, and I need all the outlets I can get for the extra pumps and other equiptment. Does anyone know if it is safe to plug a 3 outlet adapter into one of the daytime outlets?

The general consensus is that plugging in splitters into any form of surge suppression device severely depletes the ability for it to do its job. That said, logistically it will work, I leave the decision up to you.

Personally, I can't think of any reason why it would not be OK to do this - as long as you don't exceed the power rating of the timer. I have two lights plugged into a single-plug timer.
