Male Convict Cichlid???

Not being the go-to Cichlid person, it looks similar.
**There is a black bar extending up into the dorsal fin and it doesn't seem to be that feature in the Firemouth (G link below).
Also I was going to mention that the substrate is white and the tank light bright and the fish might be trying to blend with the environment in addition, young still?

Yeah, I’m sure he’s relatively young. He’s right around 3 inches long. My female is even younger at about 2 1/4 inches long, maybe 2 1/2 inches. Her black bars are solid black and her body a light Greyish color, and a bright red belly! Her belly is fading in color now though, I assume it’s because she laid eggs recently, I noticed this yesterday!!!
