Marnineland C530 canster filter

Ok got my new filter but the intake tube is only half way down in my tank called marineland they said they dont have extender tube. will it be ok in middle of tank or is there a way to put an extender tube on it

usually they say should be 4 in from bottom of tank

I keep mine about half way down, but I use sand for a substrate. It will be fine where it's at, anything that it misses can be vacuumed during water changes.

How deep is your tank? I have the opposite problem with my c-360. It's too long. I have to put it at an angle and haven't found a fix.

It will be OK. You could go to your local home improvement store and purchase tubing / conduit - rigid or flexible. It'll be a quick cheap fix if you want to extend it.

My tank is 25in tall so far looks ok
