New 60g This Week!

Petsmart had an awesome sale border Veterans day that I couldn't pass up. I originally wanted an oscar but from what I have read they are awesome but sounds like wayy too much work. So I am open to other ideas. I was thinking of getting denisen barbs. Any experience with them? Suggestions on what tank mates are ok with them?

Denison barbs are cool, and in my limited experience they get along with most fish pretty well. I've kept them in a loach community tank with some geophagus, a pleco and a whole bunch of different loaches and they generally kept to themselves in the middle of the tank. That said, they're an endangered species so i recommend getting them tank bred, or getting something different.

Any idea on how many I can stick in. 60g? I've done research and it looks it is recommended to have anywhere from 5-10.
