Peacock gobies

My lfs got Ina shipment of peacock gobies and I was going to buy a couple but I kept seeing conflicting info. Some said they will take pellets and others said to only feed live food. Some sources said you can have one and others said you need to keep several together. Does anyone have any advice for keeping these fish?
