i am currently starting up a 12 gallon long iwagumi aquarium with bloody Mary shrimp and tetras. i also have a 90 gallon reef tank so i wanted to make this tank "automated" (minus water changes) but keep the cost relatively low. i will have auto dosing system, co2 on a time with lights, and possibly and automatic feeder.

i am curious if I can use a variety of quality pellets and flakes in as a primary food source, with frozen food: mysid/ blood worms. are there any problems with doing this? if so what? do you have any suggestions for pellets/ flakes

NLS pellets (Thera A is good for smaller fish) and omega one flakes. I'd be careful keeping any sort of fish with your bloody Mary's though... Seems like wasted dollars when some of the smaller ones get picked off, especially since iwagumi 'scapes do not offer much cover. Just an observation though.

I plan on getting a pretty good population before i introduce any fish
