For nearly the past 2 weeks, my 10g quarantine tank had a PH of 7.4-7.6. My tap is buffered to around 10, so I have to aerate the water for a while to bring it down to that.
Long story short, I did a 5 gallon mix of 25% RO water with 75% tap, and did a ~40% PWC with it. I was trying to limit the ammonia going into my tank from the tap. Since doing that, my PH has dropped down around 6.6-6.8. Is that small of an amount of RO water really enough to do that?
The other 3 out of the ordinary things going into the tank in the last 7 days were Pimafix, Melafix and some aquarium salt at ~50% doses.
Thanks for any help.
