i have a Common Pleco in my tank how often should i be feeding him.. what i've bin doin is feeding have a medium size wafer once every other day and a couple brine shrimp pelletes its that ok? should i feed more food, less, more often. What.....

Mine seems to be perfectly fine just eating leftover food and sucking the sides of my tank. he's not over growing either.

It depends on how much algae there is, and how big he is. Common plecos eat less and less algae as they get older/larger, so you'll need to supplement his diet. Currently I've got three bristlenose plecos and a clown pleco, and the bristlenoses love blanched zucchini and blanched carrots. The clown eats mostly driftwood, but does munch on zucchini a bit too.

Try some vegetables, i have a common pleco as well and it loves it, i have noticed that after it has eaten some of the cucumber that i feed it, it becomes more active.
