I found some grapevine wood at my local pet store in the reptile section. It looked really nice and the label says it wasn't treated with anything.
I've tried researching if it's okay in an aquarium, and the answers ranged from "sure" to "it'll grow white fungus and then be fine" to "no, it will kill your fish".
Does anyone have an experience with this? If so, would it be okay to use in a planted tank?
Thanks.

No experience with it, but I would think that with proper soaking, sterilization, and leaching of the wood, it should be ok. Just a guess, however. It may be better to wait for wiser heads to answer before trying it.

I think I'll just avoid it and get aquarium driftwood. It's more expensive and doesn't look as nice, but it won't matter because I'll cover it with java moss or something, I suppose.
