My octo tank has been looking a little boring to say the least, and it's hard to fit much in!

Before:

I added some rocks I found to give it a little more height and to build a small cave, then added a black "background" (spray painted newspaper)

What do you think, and what else can I do to improve the look of the tank?

I would love to add some driftwood, but don't know if I have the room?

I looked it up and I like that kind of driftwood! I will try looking around for a tall piece

Where do you think I could place the driftwood in the tank?

I would place it off center and the branches pointed up. And maybe tie some jave moss on some of the branches.

Adding something like Jungle Val or Balansae Crypt that will grow to the top of the tank will make a big difference. Also since it's leaves are thin and upright it won't take up too much space in your tank but will really help with filling in the upper level.
