Hey, I'm new to this site, and wondering if someone could help me out here. I've had aquariums before, but not for a while now. I'm planning to rejuvenate an tank I used in the past, but I noticed it had a few scratches on the bottom and the back. They're surface scratches, you can't feel them. Am I okay using this tank?

I'D appreciate any answer or general advice for a five gallon. Thanks!

I think you would be fine. Some of my tanks have minor scratches and I've never had a problem with them. They just look not as nice :)

I would recommend you do a water test before you set it up. Scratches don't make a difference look for chips and cracks.

Mine used to be a salt water tank and its scratched everywhere because he didn't know how to used a razor to take off Mushrooms of the tank.. No problems at all.. And with water it shows a lot less.. I just put the real bad scratched side as the back of the tank and stuck a darker background image.. You can hardly see it :)
