Can fish e shipped using the flat rate boxes?

Yes. Just not the small flat rate boxes. Depending on where the fish are going, it is often cheaper to ship by weight.

So the USPS flat rate boxes would be ok?

Not the small flat rate. The medium and large flat rate are fine. It is getting very hot in many areas of the country and foam insulation is a must if you are shipping fish.
