Sort of Reddish blotchy algae maybe? Advice

Does anyone know what this is?
And how to get rid of it?

To me this looks like a brown algae. A quick google search and it appears either a pleco or Amano shrimp will eat this and naturally clean it up. There are a few posts about the water having to much silica in it and adding a special cartridge will help. Me personally I like using fish to help maintain cleanliness and would go with either a pleco or shrimp.

Brown algie looks a little reddish?

It is blotchy and very hard to get off the glass, almost need a razor. Shrimp will eat that?
