Spiny eel?

What's the smallest species of spiney eel? It's the Zig Zag eel right? Can they be kept in a community tank? With bumble bee gobies?

I believe bumble bee gobies are bracksih. I don't think that spiny eels are brackish fish. Atleast not that I've heard.

Barred spineys are about the smallest...and no, they are not brackish...but bumblebee gobies are, ideally.

The smallest spinies I know of are peacocks, but I'm not terribly familiar with them, those are the only ones I've kept.

Peacock spiny eels get to 12" or more I believe. Zig zags only get to around 6", but I haven't heard of the barred. Toirtis, im sure, knows what hes talking about. Any info on these barred spiny eels, Toirtis?

I always heard zig-zags get to 18". Hm...

Sure, Macrognathus pancalus....maximum size is about 6"-7":
