Attached is a picture showing two test tubes.
On the left is a pH test of my water straight from the tap. On the right is after it has been aerated for 12 hours.

This presents a problem for me because:
I do not know exactly what the pH of the tap is.
I HAVE to aerate my change water for at least 12 hours. Usually it is 24 to let the temperature rise.
A python/water changer is out of the question.

Does anyone else have a similar problem?

Yup, my tap comes out off the charts and gasses off to low 7 's.. never was an issue until I started keeping rams.. now I keep a 22 gal brute barrel as a water changing station, it has a 300 gph pump, air stone and heater in it.. seeing as I run 4 tanks atm I leave it juiced all the time.. i still use the python for draining though. It works out pretty well in that the temp is always perfect and I let prime marinate for an hour before wc's.. i even rigged up a foot pedal for hands free operating..
