Trumpet snails out of town

I'm going out of town for a week and leaving my 2 platy fry at parents and my aunt who is watching their dogs is going to feed them. But I don't want to take my snails I have an empty 10 gallon tank "we'll with treated water and running filter " and a breeder hanging on the back . Could I leave the breeder on the back and just put some food in and leave them ? There is 1 average size and a baby snail. Thanks.

" I just bought a moss ball to help with the ammonia while I'm gone in my fry tank. So I so t want snails attaching them selves to it because it will go in my 10 gallon tank eventually

Those snails are really hard to kill. I'd just throw them in the 10g with 1/4 of an algae wafer. It will last them a while and by the time they can't eat it anymore it wont be too far away from your return.
