some tips..
rince the heaters off..
then place them in the water and wait 15 min. before pluging them in.
do not remove heaters unless they have been unpluged for 15 min..

this helps to keep them from getting thermal shock (the old ones exploded 8O )

What kind of heaters did you get? I keep our tropicals at 76 - 78 except when trying to encourage breeding with the Africans.
 
My last glass heater exploded. lol. I forgot about the whole "thermal shock" thing. Yeah, 78 should be a good temp for those fish.
