What time do you se your lights ?

Hi guys,

My question is, can I use my “8 hours of light” between 12pm and 8pm? Or 1pm to 9pm?

The idea is to have the tank light on during the evening. Because than I can appreciate my fishes

Today I am turning on at 9 am and off at 7pm. But I am not home during this time.

Ps; my tank is in my living room and during the day the room is not dark.

Tell me your thoughts please.

As long as it's not too bright during the day you should be fine. Fish still need a resting period with darkness.

My lights come on at 3 in the afternoon and shut off at 10:30, no issue whatsoever.

Our living room tank, the lights don't start coming on until 10, ramp up until 1, and start ramping down about 930 I think. Out at midnight. We're not morning people.
