Mines 40 gallon planted.
It has:
10 rcs
4 cardinal tetras
5 neon tetras
5 glo light tetras
4 mystery snails
1 bambo shrimp

You don't have a problem with your snails eating up all your plants?

Here's a little 5 gallon I have on the back of my toilet. I've got about a dozen or so glass shrimp, and two bettas (male and female). I've got a bamboo in there and 2 little plants I got from the pet store, idk what kind. As for the lighting; I got a 15w incandescent bulb from Aqua Culture I picked up at wal-mart.

Nice shrimp! That Cardinal shrimp is amazing.

This is my 5.5 gallons rimless low tech tank with a HOB filter and dual T5 lighting. It is stocked with 12 red cherry shrimps, 2 otos and there would be 10 SS grade CRS in less than two days. As for plants I have java fern, java moss and crypts. Tell me what you guys think about it!

Very nice! I considered that substrate as well. The symmetrical pellets just threw me off. Im picturing your tank with broken, varying in size(grit), and grayish color substrate to play off the main rock center pieces.
