I will start a 10 gallon tank soon. It will include 6 cardinal tetras and 2 or 3 lyretail guppies. Now I just need some algae eaters. What are some colored algae eating shrimp?
(I don't want red cherry shrimp or any transparent shrimp)

About all shrimp will pick at algae but don't use them as a source for eradicating algae. In a non planted tank algae shouldn't even be present, if it is, something it causing the algae.

In a planted tank you can easily manage algae via your photoperiod and dosing schedules co2 etc...

As said about all shrimp will eat algae just don't expect them to make a dent in it. Be careful what species you choose as some shrimp shouldn't be placed together as they will interbreed and it won't end well in the gene pool.
