Thought I'd start another thread (I already have one going on crabs). I have a new issue now. One place near me has fiddler crabs, and they have them in freshwater. I know, from reading, that they are brackish. They haven't had them long--only for a few days. Would it be risky to get one, bring it home, and put it in brackish? They also have red claw crabs, but they've had them for 4-5 weeks, in freshwater. Sure didn't want to risk that. Petsmart will be getting red claws in next Friday, and I could get one before they are put in the freshwater and bring it right home. What would you do? I want the crab to have every chance of surviving and thriving for me. Also, which do you prefer--fiddlers or red claws?
