Hi, it's been awhile since I've posted on here. Basically what I want to know is what are the benefits of switching to a 50/50 light. I'll link what I have currently below and what I'm wanting it compared with. I plan to have some softies in the future, but it will be months down the road.
Zoo Med Ultra Sun (I'm currently running this..)
Zoo Med Ultra Sun Daylight Compact Fluorescent Bulb at PETCO
Zoo Med 50/50
Zoo Med Reef Sun 50/50 Compact Fluorescent Bulb at PETCO

I don't want to upgrade my light fixture just yet. The tank has been running a little over a month, it has about 8 lbs or so of LR, snails, an, emerald crab, and loads of critters. I plan to get my first fish next month sometime. Thank you.

That light is supposed to provide some light (actinic) for corals. You don't have any corals listed, so I wouldn't bother changing. That would barely support mushrooms anyhow I think (it's only 10W).
