A test kit that works

Today I used the strips nitrate was pink showing stress and the API kit said the nitrate was zero? What kind of kit is close to accurate?

Strip tests aren't as accurate as the liquid ones. I'd trust API.

API is far more accurate than strips, just be sure to follow the directions carefully. When you shake your bottles prior to testing.... REALLY shake the snot out 'em, especially bottle #2. It's got solids that'll settle, and really needs a good agitating for a proper test. I'll even smack them on the table a couple of times while shaking.

More money, but worth it after you buy them
