Hi all,

I added 60 pounds of live rock to my 54 gallon corner bowfront and filled it today!

The salinity is spot on however the water is super cloudy. I finished filling it at around 4. Is it normal to take this long to clear up?

This is my first salt water tank

It depends. You can turn off the powerheads and things can settle quicker. As a bacteria base builds up in the sand, and this is a poor but best way I can put it, becomes stickier and won't get blown around so easily compared to fresh sand.

Awesome, it's starting to clear up now! ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1417208236.093621.jpg

I didn't think it was too shabby for my first saltwater setup! I determined I don't like the ledge on the left as much as I thought I did..... I'm going to stack the 3 pieces on the ground up there lol.
