Those are the LEDs. My iPhone makes it look like moon lights with all the blue. I'll get one with just whites on.

Ah, I understand. My iphone does the same thing. I take a pic of my purple rimmed plate coral and it shows it as blue and green rather than purple and white.

3-4 months. Thinking of building my own acrylic tank. If I do, it'll be a 300g. Just need advice on it.

Very big project, it sounds like. Don't know anything about acrylic (except its plastic, not glass)  So can't help you there.

I have built several. It is pretty easy to do with the proper tools and a lot of room. It's all about accuracy. Acrylic welds together so seams have to be very tight with almost no gap. Several different viscosity of welding solutions are available for the different seams. Acrylic cuts with ordinary power tools, you just have to manage heat buildup as you cut. Good luck with this.

Have pictures of the electric scallop. 1st and 3rd if you look at bottom left you will see the bolt. 2nd pic is with the bolt off...

How long have you had it? From everything I've read they are supposed to be almost upkeep able and only live a couple months... Or however long it takes to starve.

Was in fish store 2 weeks and I got it yesterday. We shall see... My system is pretty well established.

Well I can't wait to see it in 6 months. I've wanted to try one, but I failed at keeping a maxima clam alive so have held out until I can keep a clam going.

I hear you there. I have 3 kittens in the house. My problem is I have to move the power strip and mount it on the side of the stand. They have stepped on it twice and killed power to the aquarium twice.
