Ok, went shopping for a tank today, one of the LFS had all their combos (tank, hood, stand) on sale, saw a 60 reg for 480 for glass, drilled with overflow, the stand and hood was unfinished. We feel after looking around not only on the internet but around locally that it's not a bad price.
Here's my question, we realize we will need to put more sand in since we won't be using the black sand from the 40 that's going to be the fuge sand. We called Home Depot and they carry Paragon Play sand, does anyone know if we can use that as the sand for the tank and then put the live sand from the 29 on top.
Also, do ya think that's a good deal? John doesn't really want to build another stand and I don't blame him. Now we just have to find someone who wants to buy a 29 gallon stand and hood and also the 40 stand and hood. We plan on using the 40 for the sump/fuge.
