So I got rid of the hood on my bc29. Added media basket and refugium basket in middle chamber. Aqualife skimmer in first chamber. And stock pump with bc uv sterilizer. And t5 lighting.

I'm still getting a lot of algea growth in my glass though. Help??

I clean my glass every day with one of those magnets and once a week I scrape it usually with a razor blade.

Are you using ro water?

It is water that is run through a series of 4 or 5 filters. It takes out all sorts of things like nitrates and phosphates that will cause algae. Most saltwater shops sell it or you can get your own filter (most cost effective).

Ohh yeah my buddy filters it and makes my saltwater. He has that filter system

get some snails. they keep my tank sides crystal clear!
