So i nuked my 55g with ammonia to get rid of all the aiptasia. This was a few weeks ago, maybe 3 or 4. I had the ammonia so high it was off the scale. After 4 90% water changes it was down to about 8ppm. So I left it alone. Tested my nitrites a few times since and it has been off the charts purple. BUT today I tested the trites and it came back clear blue.

Is it possible the tank has re-cycled already? Just seems awful fast is all so I figured I'd ask the cycling gurus what they thought. :-D

Thanks everyone!

I reckon its cycled alright,i take it this was a running tank before?

Just add abit more amm source and check again if your not totally certain.

It could very well have cycled. I agree, add a little ammonia and run more tests. If it looks good, let the post-apocalyptic life begin lol
