Weird thing

So I got a ricordea yesterday and he was fine fine today as well and then tonight my female mocha clown stated to pick at it only a little so I shewed her away and she goes over to it and looks and then leaves and has been doing that for the past five minutes what's going on

Could the clown be trying to host it?

I don't know only the female does it but she bit a little piece off and now she just watches the leaves and goes back I don't think she is trying to host because it's only a frag a tinny little thing maybe only like 3/4 in diameter
