10 gal hood and lighting

I never thought I'd be asking this (my 55 gal has no additional lighting and I've always been proud of that) but what are some good and cheap lighting for a 10 gal? I would like to have plants in there, so maybe a medium light (is there such thing as medium?) so my choices of plants can vary. I really like swords!

I am also looking for a hood, I think. I have a cat, enough said! lol.

Any suggestions? I know absolutely nothing about this haha

Here's a good hood Walmart.com: Aqua Culture: Aquarium Hood Incandescent 10 Gallon Pets,: Fish it takes two regular light bulbs. These are the bulbs i have in a different hood

With those Bulbs u have the low side of medium lighting.

Are you sure plants can grow with only light bulbs? I thought they needed a UVB or something

I have them and i grow Amazon Sword, Red Melon Sword, Moneywort, L. Repens, and Cabomba.

that looks good, but the reviews are terrible!! lol. And not to be a prick or anything, but I don't like to support walmart, especially their fish departement. I've been angry at them ever since they sold (uneducated) me a 1.5 gallon tank with a koi.

U can get the hood anywhere! That was just an example. The light bulbs i got from Lowes.
