We had originally hoped to start another saltwater tank. But it's just not in the budget. I've done fresh before but I've mostly had just guppies. I want to do sand and my first thoughts on stocking was some rummy nose tetras and cory cats for sure. However the rummy nose wiki page states the temperature for cory and rummies varies to widely. So then I thought how about a GBR pair and some rummy nose tetras, however I really wanted some panda cory cats...looking for suggestions on any additional fish to go with my current ideas.

Cories are generally a more cold water fish compared to others (like Rams or rummynoses), but I believe a few species live in warmer water. I don't really know any off hand (I'm not a Cory expert) but some common species to research would be: Peppered, bronze/albino, green, skunk, julii, sterbaii, and emerald.
