Hi, I am looking for a 75gallon build and help with some newbie questions.

I have recently acquired a 75 gallon tank from a friend who gave it to me as a moving away gift and i was wondering what would be the easiest build with the least possible maintenance I have a pretty then budget of around 200 bucks for filters and other items,Also i was wondering about cycling and what it is.I am also looking more into the smaller fish with a couple of schools in the tank if you get what i mean,with maybe one or 2 3 inch fish.

This will get you started- its the guide for setting up a fw aquarium. It also has links for fishless & fish-in cycling. Pool filter sand is an inexpensive option to consider for a sustrate (@$10/50pd bag). I am sure others will have fish suggestions (i am coldwater girl)! Good luck!

I just set up a 90 gallon. what all do you need to buy? did you just get the aquarium? still need filters, heater and a hood? gravel and plants / decorations?

I like the aquaclears. I have 2 aquaclear 110s on my 90 gallon

okay so if got got 2 of those the it would still be good on the 75gal then right? or would one be good enough?
