My tap water had nitrates about 80ppm maybe higher. Suggestions for what I should do to combat this problem. Ro/di is out, read is not suggested for fw tanks. Denitrate requires a flow of 50gal per hour in a filter im at about 600 per hour. The thinking about using a reactor anyone done this b4. Ideas welcomed this is something I need to address asap I believe

How about adding some plants? Duckweed, frogbit, anacharis, wisteria and tons of other stem plants are all low maintenance nitrate suckers.

Buy that to clean tapwater

I use prime it doesn't Remove the 120ppm nitrates that are in my tap water. I purchased a next reef nr1 reactor, 2 liters of seachems denitrate, a mag drive 350 some 1/2 inch tubing a ball valve to drop flow way down and a fluval canister output to match the ones in my tank ill be handling the nitrate issue quickly
