Good job with the anubius, I had to look it up to be sure it was supposed to be attached to driftwood, you got it right!

The plant in the substrate, I'm not sure what it is, (Rubin Sword maybe?) but I think you planted it too deep. Normally, the "crown" of the plant (the base, right where the leaves start growing from, should be even with the top of the substrate. If it is too deep, as i highly suspect, it will rot instead of growing.
i know it is sometimes difficult to get plants like this to stay planted, espacially if there are very little roots, but you have to try. If you leave it as is, you will probably lose it to crown rot.
