Picked up a cheap 10gal, but what to do?
I went to a garage sale today and found a super cheap (one dollar, guys, I couldn't help myself) 10 gallon tank with a stand. The quality seems pretty good- it was so cheap because they are moving soon. I'll test waterproof-ness and all that, but once it's all said and done...
What do I put in it?
I'd like to do a nano thing, but maybe add a betta in there? This is my current idea, tell me if its overstocked. I'm not sure how many of each I should add, too. Any advice is appreciated!
-Pygmy cories (I'll do sand)
-Neon tetras
-A betta? Or a dwarf gourami?
-a nerite snail or three
What do you think? Overstocked?

I have Betta's in 2 separate tanks. If another tank pops up in my future I'm thinking.... Dwarf Puffer?

Is 10g enough room for a DP?

I've had true Nano fish in my 10g
Celestial Pearl Danios
Cory habrosus or pygmaeus
Red Cherry Shrimp
Otos

Or if you get a Betta, get a showy one
These are old pics of two of my 10g tanks

For dwarf puffers the usual quote is 5g per fish, with eyesight broken up with decor. If I has space for a 10 right now that's what I'd be getting

They're supposed to be messy, considering what they eat, so I'd pick whatever you can put a good filter on without blowing them around the tank

Axolotls are cute but I don't think I want one. Thanks for the idea though!
