I have found a really good deal on a 55g setup. I would like to use it for a salt water(fowlr) setup. The only problem is it is a brackish tank currently and they want to sell the 4 fish with it. There are two knight gobies and two orange chromides.

Any idea how I rehome these fish or know of any special fish that I could add to make it worth keeping brackish? I doubt a lfs would take them.

I haven't bought the tank yet but I'm strongly considering it.

Thanks.

I just had another idea. I'm currently fishless cycling a 20g long tank that I could repurpose as a brackish tank. Would a 20 be massively overstocked with these 4 fish?

Yes it would be overstocked with those 4 fish IMO. Private LFS would take them.

If you decide to keep the 55g, then you could get a figure 8 puffer. Fun fish to watch :)

SW setups are a lot more interesting though.

Thanks for the info. I decided to get the 55g tomorrow. The figure eight puffer looks really cool but I've been jonesing for a saltwater tank. I will set it up for them until I can find them a new home.
