Hi, I am going to try and reseal a 55 gal I have and wanted to know what type of silicone I need to use to keep it aquarium safe?

If I remember correctly silicone I is the one you want, silicone II has antibacterials added. Definitely use a caulking gun.

GE Silicone 1. I tend to find any "aquarium sealant" comes in teeny tiny tubes. I prefer the tubes for a big job like this.

If you look at the tubes, choose anything without "mold barriers" or "mold protection".

You may want to consider black silicone. AGA makes a black silicone that comes in a caulking tube. Many tanks come with it now. With a painted black background it looks great.
