worm in tank?

I notice there are some flat worm like creatures in my tank. They are no longer than a grain of rice and tend to surface when I feed my shrimps. Are they dangerous to my shrimps? How can I get rid of them?

Those would be planaria ... See the links below for info and how to deal with them, but in short, dog dewormer kills them. Tend to result from excess food from over feeding. Can be harmful to baby shrimp I think. You see them in shrimp only tanks as fish do eat them. Hope this helps!

That worm in the picture us NOT a planaria not even close. It's a flatworm of some type to be honest to me it looks like a leech.
