weekend tragedy

It was a bad weekend for my tank. Lost both my clowns to ich...Nothing changed in my tank so I am at a loss to know what happened. I have one chromis left and so far, he is looking ok..Do I have to do anything in the tank before I decide to get more fish? I do have a serpent star, spiny urchin, and peppermint shrimp in the tank. Also, some soft corals. Will they be affected?

Do you know for sure it was ich? If so then you need to leave your tank fallow for 6-8 weeks before adding any more fish. You will need to take out any remaining fish and treat them. Ich needs a fish host to survive so if you don treat properly it will just keep coming back

the clowns had white spots on them so I'm assuming it was ich. Could it have been something else?
