a sick cichlid

this fish is sick with something...its my buddies fish and he calls it pop-eyed his eyes are huge..they have been getting bigger everyday...just wondering what this is.... if it is a disease or if this normal..hes rather old but so is the other fish thats in there with him..just curious if you can fix this problem or let it run its course..and also if the other fish in the tank are supceptable to this also.thanx for reading my post.

Tell Mike that his fish is ill. Popeye is a symptom, not a disease. More than likely it is caused by bacterial infection.
