Had a betta and 2 Ghost shrimp in a lightly planted 5g. Everything was fine, except for an algae problem. So one day I move 1 oto catfish from another tank into the 5g so the oto (who I had trouble feeding) could feast. Next day I got a new heater, and discovered that the oto and both shrimp had died.
Ammonia was .2ish (I assume from the dead oto) no nitrates and <20 nitrates.
Did water change, and noticed my bettas fins were allllll clamped up. Added quick cure, suspecting velvet was the cause. The next day, betta seems worse. Did another large water change, cleaned the filter, and added more quick cure. Any thoughts on how I can save this guy? (name's Artemis btw) I just dont know how it got this bad in a couple of days!
