Hi all, I am a newbie so please help if you know what is wrong with some of my guppy babies. Their tails are not widening but becoming narrow and pointed and they struggle with swimming. Most of these don't make it. The other healthy ones grow to maturity. Is this normal like selection of nature that some weak fish will die, or is this a disease condition? If so, what can help? I do occassionally pour in some Easy Balance (from Tetras) to balance the PH or whatsoever. Any suggestions?

My only suggestion would be to stop using anything to "balance pH". The fish will adapt and stability is the most important factor. As far as the tails of the fry go. It could be normal and natural, but it sounds like it's more common than normal for you so I suspect you need to insert some new blood into the gene pool.
