Possible Sick Red Tail Shark

ID:	320880 I've had my Red Tail Shark for about 3 months now, I recently noticed these spots on its side. Is something wrong with it? Also can anyone tell if Mines male or female

Honestly he doesn't look sick. Sometimes they get scratched when swimming, but it's kid of hard to tell from the pic. Is he behaving differently than normal? I don't know what sex it its.
